The Don the brand

Welcome Des The Don to the WISE women's spotlight blog where ideas flourish and conversations ignite. We want to shine a light on all the amazing things her business has done and will do. We decided to ask Des the CEO of “The Don The Brand” some questions to get a deeper understanding of her vision.

What is the name and meaning of your brand?

The Don The Brand, is an organization built on encouraging and influencing others to be their best self. The meaning of the brand comes from faith based beliefs of being the head, walking in your righteous.

What did your entrepreneurial journey look like from when you started to now?

My journey was very up and down when I started I moved very fast as I was eager to get into the limelight of things. Now things have become more structured as business continues to grow.

What has been an obstacle that you have overcome in the past and what lesson have you learned from it?

Working with a good vendor was a huge obstacle I faced in the past. When trying to invest in yourself you always want to make wise decisions especially when each decision cost you but I learned through the process to be patient as well as it’s okay to allow help.

What are your long-term goals (in the next 5 years)?

In the long run I see myself as a successful entrepreneur creating wealth from multiple sources of income. The brand is just the start of my vision as I would like to continue creating and running other styles of business. I hope in the next five years I can continue to be an even bigger influence on others and be in a position to help people all over.

What does being a WISE women mean to you?

To me WISE is a community, the empowerment of leading all to their best self capabilities. Being a WISE woman to me means moving with grace. Touching the lives of others while inspiring through exceptional character and excellence.

What advice would you give women who are wanting to start a business?

To any women who are looking to start a business I would encourage you to take the leap of faith. No matter how complex, how crazy, or how long your vision might be, just do it. Start the plan and execute until you create the business you desire. Although it won’t be easy take each mishap as a lesson that helps you grow to reach your blessing.
